100 Boko Haram members were recently killed in a "special
clean-up operation" by Cameroon's security force last week.
A statement by the Cameroonian Defence Minister Joseph
Beti Assomo released today, says the special clean up
operation took place along Cameroonian towns that were on
the border with Nigeria from 26 to 28 November.
The statement added that the troops during the operations,
released almost 900 hostages, seize a large stock of arms
and munitions as well as black-and-white Islamic State
flags". The statement did not however reveal the identities of
those freed.
